Dr Bryan Murphy
Dr Bryan Murphy is a Consultant Dermatologist from and based in Northern Ireland. He graduated from Medicine at Queen’s University Belfast in 2011, then completed postgraduate medical training and Dermatology specialist registrar training in Northern Ireland. He achieved successful Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2014, then his Specialty Certificate in Dermatology in 2017. Dr Murphy has also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education in 2017 from the University of Staffordshire. He took up his first Consultant post at Belfast City Hospital in 2019.
He was awarded the British Society for Medical Dermatology Trainee Award in 2018 offering him opportunities to work with leading experts in genital dermatology and psoriasis in London and Manchester. In addition to his medical and inflammatory dermatology interests, Dr Murphy has held post as the Multidisciplinary Team Improvement Lead and Chair of the Northern Ireland Regional Skin Cancer MDT Meeting in 2022/2023 demonstrating his dedication to providing high quality care to his patients with skin cancer. He has authored/co-authored several peer-reviewed articles in the medical literature.
Dr Murphy will see patients for all general dermatological concerns including:
- Rashes (including eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, acne and other inflammatory skin conditions)
- Female genital skin problems,
- Male genital skin problems,
- Benign lesions,
- Skin cancers,
- Mole screening with dermoscopy
He regularly performs minor skin surgery including biopsies, currettage, cyst/lipoma removal and both benign and skin cancer excisions.
